The Book Twins | YA & Adult reviews

Meet Maggie Harper. She and her brother are having a night out on the town in Vegas, that is until she then wakes up with the last 12 hours of her memory missing. Disappeared.
After unable to find out what happened during those hours missing. The police couldn't do anything either, so Maggie has no choice but attempt to move on with her life. One thing she does remember is a flash of a guy.

Flash forward a year and Maggie doesn't like to form attachments especially when it comes to relationships. She can't explain why though.
She soon meets a guy, Marcus who saves her from an attacker. She somehow recognizes him from somewhere, but can't recall why or where from.
Maggie then finds herself in a world and a place she could never be able to explain. Something so out of this world that even she isn't sure she can believe it.. that is until everything starts to fall into place and she feels this is the truth.

I was gifted to be able to receive a copy of this book before release date from the author. I love dystopian stories, but this classifies as New Adult and that is not something I have experienced.. or at least when this genre formed.

I was pleasantly surprised how good this book was. It was definitely and unique from other Dystopian stuff out there, and I really adored Maggie and her journey to discover what happened to her.

If you have ever been to a place and thought your drink could have been tampered with, where you wake up and not know what happened the night before. This story takes on a whole new level in that field.

All in all, a great installment to a fresh story. Looking forward to see what is next for Maggie and her new group of friends.

Verdict: 3/5
